Paul Sanchez is an international graffiti / street artist based in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
As a teenager Sanchez was fascinated by “cholo” writing that he saw in concreted arroyos. There, he found an interest in lettering formation and how to interpret it. In time, the artist developed his own graffiti art style and embellished and upgraded it with more color. This methodology assisted him to develop a style and format of his own font and text to present to the world beyond those scrawled by gangs.
In his late teens, Sanchez found new places to explore and offer more of his work through a nationwide network, the American freight train. During the early 1990s, he spent many nights in train yards, thus making his art go in places he could not imagine.
